TUPD officer receives HRL Cornerstone Award

HRL cornerstone award

Housing and Residence Life (HRL) presented TUPD Corporal Ryne Robinson with the Cornerstone Award at the annual Resident Assistant Banquet Sunday, May 1. The award is presented each year by Ron Butler, director of housing and residence life, to a TU employee who provides exceptional support to students living on campus.

“The thing we admire most is Ryne’s ability to engage with and connect to the residents and staff across campus,” April Smith, residence life coordinator for Barton House, said. “Though assigned to one specific area, it’s not uncommon to see him interacting with people throughout the Towson community – especially within the residence halls. He brings a smile to many faces every day.”

Award winners are nominated by full-time HRL staff during their end of the year meeting. After paring nominations down to one person, the winner is recognized at a banquet and given a glass sculpture commemorating their achievement.
