The 2015 Employee Picnic was held Friday, May 29 at CLA Field, and the newly-relocated event went off without a hitch. The sound of music, laughter, and chatter filled the air as almost 1,000 employees and their families danced, ate, competed in cornhole, and played in bouncy houses, sand boxes and slides.
“It’s great when a plan comes together. Good food, good weather, good location and lots of folks helping equaled a great event,” said Auxiliary Services Associate VP Dan Slattery.
Huge thanks goes to employees from Auxiliary Services, Facilities Management and A&F’s Employee Appreciation Committee who not only made the event come to life. Thanks to their efforts, the picnic wasn’t only fun for attendees, it was also good for the environment: the zero-waste event featured recyclable cans and compostable plates, utensils and food.
